Civil engineering teams run tendering — from Notice Inviting Tenders (NIT) through estimation, compliance review and approval — as a manual, document-heavy process that is slow, error-prone and nearly impossible to track across a fiscal year.

02 / BEFORE

Tender documents, revisions and approvals lived across spreadsheets, email threads and physical files with no version control, no role-based access and no single record of who approved what and when.

03 / SYSTEM

SETU is a purpose-built tendering platform covering the full lifecycle: guided tender creation, document management with version control, workflow automation from NIT to approval, and a fiscal-year analytics and reporting layer. On top of that sits an AI suite — an estimate generator that produces IS 1200-compliant cost estimates, an AI chatbot for tendering and IS-code queries, and a set of free engineering calculators (earthwork, quantities, mix design) that work without login.

04 / ARCHITECTURE

Interface: a Next.js application with role-based dashboards for engineers, approvers and admins. Services: tender workflow and approval engine, document versioning, AI estimate generation and chatbot layer. Database: centralized tender, document and audit-trail records replacing scattered files. Integrations: IS 1200 compliance rules embedded in the estimate engine. Infrastructure: deployed on Vercel for a fast, always-available dashboard.

05 / RESULT

SETU's own reporting states 80% time saved on tendering workflows and 500+ tenders managed through the platform — the product replaced ad hoc document handling with a single tracked system spanning creation, compliance review and approval.
